Gymnastics has always been a source of happiness, wellness, and inspiration throughout Dan’s life. Some of his oldest memories date back to when his father would take him to the Niles East High School gymnastics gym. This “taste” of gymnastics sparked his fascination for the sport, he participated in recreational gymnastics between other sport seasons. Dan was a gymnast at New Trier High School and later competed for the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He was a member of the last Division III Men’s program in the country, that as a team placed third at the Division II National Championships in 1990. Individually, Dan twice earned Division II All-American honors on the still-rings event in 1989 and 1990.
